FAQs
What is the G Club? The G Club was set up by Georgina Campbell Guides and is Ireland’s only quality-led restaurant & short-break club.
What does that mean?
Members of the G Club can save €€€ at participating restaurants, accommodation & activities at certain times.
Who is the G Club aimed at?
The G Club is aimed at people who enjoy the finer things in life - such as dining in the best restaurants and taking short breaks – but could no longer see themselves automatically paying the full price for them in these tough economic times.
With this in mind, G Club members are very happy to eat out and take short breaks during non-peak times to avail of the extremely attractive preferential members rates at top establishments.
What is the objective of the G Club?
The G Club was formed in recognition of the tough economic times that we are in, for both consumers and the hospitality industry.
It aims to encourage people who love dining out and taking short breaks to visit participating restaurants and accommodation during challenging off-peak days e.g fine dining generally during the week, accommodation Sunday-Thursday nights.
Members of the G Club may be tired of eating early bird and value meals but don't want to pay for a full price à la carte menus that they would prefer. They don't have an issue with dining out at quieter times if it means that they can dine from the best menu at better rates.
How do G Club Members make a booking at a participating establishment?
Members must simply contact participating establishments directly to make a booking, first checking what deals are available on the restaurant and hotel pages on www.thegclub.ie. Members must state that they are a member when booking and have to show their card to receive the discount, no card = pay full price! As with any other reservation enquiry bookings are subject to availability.
Are G Club Members guaranteed a reservation/booking in participating establishments?
No, as with any other prospective customer reservations, bookings are subject to availability and are ultimately at the discretion of the reservation team.
Can G Club Members avail of preferential rates in participating establishments at any time?
No, G Club members may only enjoy preferential rates at participating venues/establishments on specific days; e.g. a participating restaurant may only allow members to dine at preferential rates Monday-Thursday, and the member must declare their membership at the time of booking. Please see each participating establishment/venues page on www.thegclub.ie for details.
