We know that there are loads of cheap value menu deals in restaurants at the moment and that there are more hotel offers than you could shake a stick at. But Members of The G Club Enjoy the Very Best Dining EXPERIENCES at comparable cost to value menus and enjoy short-breaks with more perks at better rates for a modest annual fee.
We are sure that you will agree that top chefs can't possibly display the very best of their talents with a value menu and that some of the most inexpensive short-break deals may not offer the best package for you.
Being a member of The G Club means that you can EXPERIENCE the very best A la Carte Menus in some of the finest restaurants at prices that are comparable to what non-members are paying for the basic value menu. Being a member of The G Club means that you can experience the very best hotels & country houses at better than advertised rates with addtional perks such as free upgrades, additional nights free, massages etc in many participating establishments.
We would compare the experience of G Club membership and non-membership as being similar to travelling in two cars - a Bentley and an old saloon will both get you from A to B, but one of them offers a truly luxurious experience, something to be remembered and talked about again and again. If you had the option and the cost was similar which would you want to travel in?
Most participating restaurants will remove the least expensive dish of each course from G Club Members' bills on specified days and sittings i.e. if two dine you pay for one, if four dine you pay for three (see examples below).
G Club Members can also save up to €200 & more on advertised prices when taking short breaks at participating hotels and country houses (see examples below).
A one year membership costs just €75 - if you use it more than once you will recoup the cost, from then on in you are saving €€€ and there is no limit to the number of times that you can use it.

I have been a member of the G Club for a few months now and have used it several times both in Dublin and around the country. I received my gclub card less than 2 weeks ago (9/2/10), and already I have used it 4 times! We have eaten in "Town Bar and Grill" for lunch and dinner, both of which were excellent, "The French Table" in Limerick, also excellent, and Ely CHQ which was great value for money. I am delighted to say I have made back the membership cost and some! It's the best €75.00 I've spent in a long time, and I might add, I have told everyone about it. In summary, I love the gclub. Real Examples below show just how much G Club Members can save when dining out & taking short breaks in participating establishments.
Restaurants:
W is a member of The G Club who dined in Town Bar & Grill with his guest on a Wednesday night. They both ate off the A la Carte Menu opting for starters of Poached duck egg w/ sauteed poivrade artichoke, vanilla mayo €12.50 & a Caprese salad w/ home dried tomatoes, basil, sweet balsamic €9.50 while for Main Courses they opted for Grilled hake fillet w/ yellow split peas, chorizo, roast celeriac €27.95 and Roast apricot & sage stuffed saddle of rabbit w/ squash puree, smoked pancetta, baby turnips €26.95 and for dessert they had Apricot and panetonne bread and butter pudding w/ apricot & biscoti ice cream €9.95 and Brandy Christmas pudding w/ brandy Anglaise and berries €9.95.
The total cost of this meal for non-members is €96.80, but Member W only paid €50.40 as they had the least expensive dish of each course removed from the bill.
A saving for The G Club member of €46.40 in one meal!
Y is a member of The G Club who had a two course lunch with a guest in Seagrass Restaurant on a Thursday. They had Steamed mussels in chilli, garlic, white wine & coriander €8.50 & Market soup €5.00 to start and Prawn, herb & spinach risotto €12.50 & Grilled organic salmon, mussel & pea sauce, roasted baby potatoes €15.50 for mains.
The total cost of this meal for non-members is €41.50, but Member Y only paid €24 as they had the least expensive dish of each course removed from the bill.
A saving for The G Club member of €17.50 from a two course lunch!
Accommodation:
A is a member of The G Club who took a one night break in the luxurious No. 1 Pery Square Hotel & Spa in Limerick with a guest/partner comprising of Overnight Accommodation, Breakfast and a Gourmet Dinner at Brasserie One. Advertised rate €150-200 per person sharing (Spring-Summer).
G Club rate of just €100 per person sharing.

B is a member of The G Club who took a two night break in the Park Hotel Kenmare, Co Kerry with a guest/partner.
